- Opening Duo Piano Concert by SICM’s Director and Chaplain: Christopher Dawes and the Rev. Tim Elliott
- Crucible Service: New for 2005: a special evening service stretching worship horizons & testing assumptions
- Organ and Choral Clinics: personalized small group and one-on-one attention for all levels, especially novice
- Gala Organ Concert by Ian Sadler with reception
- Closing Community Sacred Concert conducted by Ann Cooper Gay and accompanied by Ian Sadler and farewell barbecue lunch for students, their friends and families
Daily Schedule
Each day at SICM brings a chapel service in a different tradition; skill, resource and ideas sessions, classes in organ and choral leadership, major evening events and social time, and we hope something unique and important to every church musician’s ministry. Full-Week and daily tuition, meals and accommodation are available.

GLOBAL HYMNODY / Andrew Donaldson Having trouble feeling international in your church music, or understanding why you should? Explore the issues with an authority, and discover the world’s place in your music.
JAZZ IN MINISTRY AND LIFE / Rev. Canon Tim Elliott The use of jazz idioms in worship has exploded in recent years. Another church musical experiment, or something more? Examine life and ministry as an improvised journey.
THE ORGAN: MYTH AND MAGIC / Christopher Dawes Revisit the myths of tiredness/irrelevance: exchange the organ’s crumbling pedestal for a new approach, and get ready to harness its unique magic in contemporary worship.
ISSUES IN CHURCH MUSIC / Panel Discussion Join, and add your voice to, a diverse panel of ministers, educators, merchants and churchgoers, together addressing church music: ideology, style, substance and change.
MEMBERS’ SHOW AND TELL / SICM Board When things work in church music they inspire musicians and congregations: new this year at SICM, bring the piece of church music (keyboard/choral/congregational) that really did it for you, and hear what did it for others.
THE RSCM’S “VOICE FOR LIFE” / Michael O’Connor The Royal School of Church Music’s systems for training choristers have long set standards around the world. Hear about the latest revision of the curriculum for choristers at every stage of life, and take a close look at the exciting and attractive new resources for choir trainers and singers.
